Pre-press Specialist
SUMMARY:
The EPP Technician is an experienced level position responsible for performing digital prepress production work for our customers, such as page composition, proofing and preparation of files for computer to plate processing. This position plays an important role when preparing files to become print ready and directly helps Vertis Communications achieve its goals by producing consistent work quality that directly affects customer satisfaction and drives operational excellence by reducing the cost of errors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, manipulate, edit and process native and PDF files from supplied client materials for offset printing.
- Performs quality control functions on imposed digital files for plate-making distribution
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems relative to the production process
- Performs all assigned work efficiently, accurately, and on schedule to ensure presses meet production schedule
- Communicates effectively to the appropriate departments to ensure work continuity
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS (Specific knowledge, skills, education and abilities):
- Working knowledge of Macintosh computers.
- Ability to demonstrate English reading, writing and arithmetic at the high school level
- Strong working knowledge of all industry desktop software which may include Quark, Preps, Illustrator, Photoshop, PDFAcrobat/Distiller, Preflight, Pitstop, Suitcase, Page Maker and Fetch.
- Ability to manage all phases of prepress production
- Working knowledge of networking, file transfers and portable media
- Typically has 3 years experience in a fast-paced prepress environment

Marketing Coordinator
SUMMARY:
The marketing coordinator position will work directly with the Vice President of Marketing to develop, manage and execute marketing plans for MarketingFX and related FX business units.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate must possess skills in building detailed and multi-channel marketing campaigns; including e-mail, direct mail, search engine, and social marketing channels. The candidate will also be responsible for campaign optimization to generate increased ROI for each campaign.
This individual will also be responsible for managing all tradeshow execution and vendor management associated with up to 6 tradeshows per year. This requires exceptional organizational skills and proactive communication with outside firms.
REQUIREMENTS (Specific knowledge, skills, education and abilities):
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or journalism
- 1 – 3 years of marketing experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Copy writing experience
- Vendor management experience
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to edit documentation

Customer Advocate
SUMMARY:
We are looking to add an additional Customer Advocate to our team. This person must be an energetic, client focused individual who gets results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for handling the entire order / project cycle from start to finish. This includes but is not limited to: answering incoming phone calls, preparing quotes, determining material needs, scheduling jobs, and communication of job requirements to production.

Business Development Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position will have accountabilities for maintaining and expanding annual profitable sales by developing new accounts and building on existing relationships. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative with a strong track record of meeting and exceeding goals. The candidate must have experience in the printing industry.
- Prospecting for new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Recommends changes in products, service, and policy to clients and company by evaluating results and competitive developments
- Identify and problem solve obstacles by investigating; developing solutions; preparing reports; and making recommendations
- Open to continuous improvement of sales process through feedback and training
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Deliver on commitments to clients and to the underlining business objectives
- Utilize time management skills to sustain drive to reach sales goals and forecasts
- Professional persistence and assertiveness with all customer interactions to get meetings with decision makers
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate will have 2-3 plus years of sales experience in printing industry and a four year degree in Sales/Marketing or other related field.
